Coming Out Black has compiled an alphabetized list of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, in-the-life and same gender loving people of African descent. The biographical profiles on this website will go through three phases. In Phase One we will provide basic information about each individual on the list, there will be an attempt made to continue to add names to the list as well. Phase Two will be the creation of short video profiles that highlight certain aspects of people's life or as much as we can find out about them on the internet or through interviews or from the person themselves. Finally, Phase Three has as it's ultimate goal is the creation of Coming Out Black, the comprehensive encyclopedia of LGBTQ-ITL-SGL people of African descent. In order to do that, we will write more comprehensive profiles with references, additional photos and other information that we deem pertinent.
In the interim, we ask for your patience and we welcome you to browse the names and the available basic profiles. And of course, come back and visit us on a a regular basis for continuous updates on the profiles.
